In your lover’s arms you lived in a world of deception,
Your heart is caught in a trap without vindication,
And now you feel like a ripped wedding gown
Walking down the aisle brought your face into a frown.
Your heart’s dried up and it needs transfusion,
Your life has given up with all its pain’s absorption,
Give your broken heart to the ones who’ll never let you down
Your fellow poets are your friends in this lonely town.
We’ll sew your broken heart with poems of redemption,
We’ll use different threads of love for a beautiful restoration,
That even though your heart is a patchwork fit for a clown
It is stronger and more beautiful than a queen with a crown.
