The second daughter
of a second daughter
of a second daughter
we call her sissy
my sweet grandchild
The first is delicate
fragile and sweet
shy with her kisses
picky with her food
tears come easy
Nana's little flower
Then comes sissy
one year old
bravely walking
banging on a pot
talking her own language
rubbing her runny nose
on papaw's shirt
Free with her kisses
long on her cuddles
pulling off her socks
playing with her toes
amazed by her belly button
Can life get any better than this?

love it...!
I love this... and the obvious love you have put into every line! They are great aren't they! Grandchildren I mean...!

Compelling
Warm with rich imagery, it made me smile. To give you my answer to your last question, not much better.

This is absolutely beautiful! I really loved the imagery of Sissy walking around and doing those things. This is the perfect poem, and I love the useage of a family member, especially a grandchild! My mom is soon to be a Grandma as well =] Thank you for the entry, best of luck!
