Poetic Connections

It is distant love,
a searchlight
blaring into the night,
not faint, nor flickering,
always brightly proclaiming:

  I am here
    I am here
    I may be far
    but, always
  I am here!

I listened to the rain pelt
upon the blue tin roof
a rhythmic dance to primitive percussions
that reminded me of you -

How would you have written their song?
What strange beat would you have heard
that I somehow missed while deep in thought?
What new life would you have conceived?

If only I could think as you think -
yet I'm content now, to only watch,
to only listen,
to the unique melody of a poetic voice

that's only yours,

and bask in your sunny adoration of mine.

I love the simple liquid flow that this has. Your poetic voice sings loud and clear all through this. Keep the ink flowing and good luck.

We are often compelled by the strength of anothers energy to try to dream their dream and hear the world as they would. Yet, in the end we find we are blessed just to know that they do and are willing to share unique vision with us. For is not why we create but to share what we receive and take from the world around us? Loved some of the innuendo and images.
    Love, Tom B.

the third and fourth stanzas speak volumes above the rest of the piece... they also seem to have a slightly different tone than the rest of the piece but the piece is strong as a whole...

I like the background, but not for this piece, although I do see how it fits

thank you for sharing this entry!
