Bad Apples

In the past I know,
your heart has been torn in two
and as the sutures were healing
he ripped them out again,
But not every apple
on the tree is rotten,
someday you will find
the ripest crimson apple,
one that is perfect for you.
He will worship your every curve,
and hang onto every word you say.
You will be his angel and
he will live to see you smile.
Now, you may come across
a few rotten apples
during your love search,
but I promise
cross my heart,
that you will find
your honorable prince.

I know you probably wanna read about pain and other stories like yours, but I wanted to give you hope, I want you to consider not giving up on love and I really hope this helped

    Prince, wouldn't we all like one of those? See up to a couple of weeks ago, he was that guy you just described. He worshipped each word I uttered, he would solely listen to me and my opinion, he'd tell me how beautiful I was on numerous times during the day, told me that he'd rather die than lose me *crap, I want to cry again*. I don't know what happened... thank you for the advice, sometimes we see all that is dark and dim and forget to turn on the light.

    My mother would say for every pot there is a lid , and one bad apple doesn't always spoil the bunch...I know I had a few really rotten ones, til I finally picked the sweetest one of all I have been blessed beyond words! Excellent write! thank you for sharing!

    I'm a guy, but all my really good friends are women. I've seen them go through many rough and tough relationships. I've seen these "bad apples" of which this poem speaks of. I've seen these "bad apples" hurt those whom I care for. I've seen my friends sorrow and I've felt their pain. This poem goes for them of that I'm sure. Thanks for writing this powerful poem. Telling them not to give up their search and not to give up on love. I seen so many people just simply loose all hope on finding true love by finding so many "rotten apples" because in the tree of life rotten apples fall off the fastest thus are the easiest to come across. Once more thank you for sharing this poem. I really enjoyed reading it.
