at last;
the summer sun abates
the cool calm
warm color
of autumn occurs
the cold, immaculate leaves
pick up
as the breeze passes by
a rattled trail
a shadow
of the draft
amidst the moist grass
the minute puddles of drizzle gather;
conjoined - connected
the autumn wind;
the autumn weather
betrays the change
of a season,
the gold and yellow reaching through
the grey
a stark contrast
a struggle between the rain
and the autumn leaves
forming a lovely distinction
between the two
a connection
that is the image of autumn
