God Hates Texas

... I think, mean really, really hate
it:  why else would we flood in
heat or roast in wet?  Why else
would summer freeze and winter
burn?  Why else would we get blown
away by stilled conditions
or go outside to play in
tornadoes and hurricanes?
Never a dull moment, here:
God must hate Texas.  He must --

    Food for thought, eh?

I won't say Texas is a bad place, but I wouldn't want to live there, at least not since Ann Richardson is gone. Then again, the Dixie Chicks are still there.

I remember Houston being so hot I literally couldn't breathe outside, and had to have air conditioning 24 hours a day. Not a fun place to be. I like your poem in any case.
