Dignity is something I choose to hide,
but yet, still filled with foolish pride.
My back, I've turned while I wait
and pray I've not doomed my fate.
I won't let you see the tears I cry,
but rather feel what I feel inside.
Tell me now, I'm not a fool;
that empty emotions will turn away.
A chance for renewed hope
will soon come my way.
I'll weep in silence, upon deaf ears
erasing away so many hurtful years.

I could slip into those words!
So much pain and loneliness in the world - (shakes head) and the answers are often so simple!
But we can't make the choices for others.
Wonderful entry!
