Forgiveness is what I seek
After crumbling because I was weak
The breaking point was reached
My defenses and faith were breached
I should have turned to you
I know you would have seen me through
But, Lord, I didn't wish to upset you
I see now that you love me no matter what I do
So I come humbly seeking your forgiveness
For everything I've done to make this mess
Please, Lord, forgive me for what I've done
Please help me with the sins I have to overcome
I need your help to defeat the demons inside
And shine light on places where they hide
Please Forgive Me, Lord!

This is excelent.
I think that you have shown just what we all need to do when we feel we need to be understood and forgiven. That is to go to the Lord and he will be there for us. Your words are very deep and profound as well as meaningful. You get right to the point and express it in the best way possible. He sees everything and only asks that we acknowledge our sins and ask for his forgiveness. That is what you have done and I know He will bless you and forgive you. This is a very well thought out poem and beautifully written.
