Oars dip
into ink black water
The night is dark,
the pale yellow of the moon
our only light
It is only us,
my love and I
You hold me close,
as our small boat rocks
above the tiny waves
the night is cool
But we are warm in the arms of each other
You lean closer,
after eternity
our lips meet,
fingers search,
you kiss my neck,
I melt in your warm strong arms
My cheek rests against your soft flannel shirt,
pulled taunt against your muscled chest
You whisper those three words,
and I know
You and I will be forever
such an intimate moment
It will never end
not even when dawn breaks over the horizon
we are one
Author notes
I think this one is beautiful, one of my best.

Forever with someone amazing...wouldn't that be nice. Its sounds like these two people meet in death. I have a clear image of where they are. Dark, alone, yet beautiful.

This is one hell of a piece...my favorite lines are:
You lean closer,
after eternity
our lips meet,
fingers search,
you kiss my neck,
I melt in your warm strong arms
...if this isn't in a contest, find one to pout it into...
