the sublimity of your core..

Oh my love

I am surfacing back from
the ashes of our uncoupled love

however, it is not the transubstantiation of the ashes
a sweetheart which was me , you have dissipated

I am now a newborn darling
began again from
the ashes of communion..

and now its life once again prevails
In the sublimity of your core..

Oh My love

Hearts are resilient and will always come back, renewed and strengthened if we let them. This poem shows that we can be reborn out of heartache. Nice job and good luck in the contest.

I liked the sense of renewal here... to rise like a phoenix from the ashes. This poem can of course relate to love between two lovers but also to spiritual love between man and God. I liked the sense of hope here - thank you for this entry.

    Incredible verse.

What lines! It touches one deeply from the very start "I am surfacing back from
the ashes of our uncoupled love". The ability to think like this beyond the barriers of language is something God-given. All the best, ji.
