Time shook her memory of it
till the scent faded
pain fooled her mind
and every morning she waited
No cries came...
from that empty room
and so she wept
The mirage of warmth
took her there
to that day
baby skin so fair
no cries came...
from her empty arms
and so she wept
Lady lost in devastation
love can break you down
it felt like drowning
love lost and never found
no cries came...
from her baby's grave
and so she wept .

The metronome keeps beating as the notes recall her story, its melody sweet/bitter in its realization, lost beyond recapture.
Very well done.

Wow! This is amazing! I love it... so sad. Is this a true story? If so I am sorry for your loss and pain, Trust me I know how it is. I lost 2 children. I was in a deep dark depression for quite sometime. You never get over losing a child.. Thank you for entering my contest! Blessed Be! ~~Shannon~~
