There is no death nor empty sorrow
grief is grief pain we borrow
change we must there is tomorrow
endless words restore such tales
while love endures, welcome pain
it will come and go again
but next time you will know her
better, and after that who cares.

I too found the ending interesting. It was as if, mid stream, you decided to drop your pen and shrug your shoulders. Very effective. Nice job and good luck in the contest.

When we love we open ourselves to pain and sorrow - but that is love and we grieve because we've loved and had been loved. Interesting twist at the end of this poem... almost a nonchalance. But yes, you are right - there is no death - it's a cycle of life. I enjoyed this one - thank you for the entry.

Always welcome your comments
I always welcome your comments because you are one of my fav writers, I really am impressed with your vision and ability to put those thoughts into a story that captures my imagination. I love being in those places you construct for me.
Thanks again
