As the touch of your sweet lie burns
The plastic heart that rests
on a silver platter
falling back on the memories
captured only in those pictures
en kindled and torn
and the sound of your silence
evokes the thought of...
so
I scour the smell of your deceit of my skin
off my mind.
bleeding and burned
I taste the lies with a hint of her perfume.
brainwashed by your words
and
engulfed in your sins
a lack of poise and I find my face in the dirt
now I can see
you said you hated knowing
the emptiness behind my eyes
but now
we pass by
nothing more than
acquaintances
lost inside the idea
of perfect living
stuck with a meaningless routine
the smile that once was true
and the soul that was free
has tied itself together
with intangible dreams
almost like the words
"forever and always"
