She didn't go anywhere
for weeks on end because
she hadn't sufficient clean
clothing to wear;
it didn't seem worth
the effort of dressing and
because she could barely
scrape up a dollar
it was too much trouble;
wherever she'd go, she'd feel alone
and though modest, home
was more comforting; yet
with no one present.

Awww. I remember feeling like this after my first son was born. I didn't have the energy to do the laundry. Thanks for entering.

Boy this its close to home
This piece touched me in a way I have not been touched by poetry in a while. I actually teared up. This was an amazingly powerful write.

Powerful, sad write. It made me think of how lonely it can be to live alone in life, with no family, friends or loved ones in a person's life. The ending was the most sad. It made me think of how people may feel more alone in a crowd maybe because of not really feeling like they can share their real selves or feel comfortable enough around others. Keep writing.

Each lonely day your choice
Days should never be lonely yet so many chooses the silence and the place where questions are never asked except by oneself
