The loss of someone
Who was important
In your life, who made
You who you are now
Has a profound effect
On your soul and body
It’s so hard to get
Over any kind of death
It requires perseverance
And friends to support
Eventually the pain will
Lessen but never leave
Always try to be positive
Otherwise you could
Fall into a pit of depression
That doesn’t help you
It never does- so don’t
If you ever need a
Friend to be there for you
Remember- I’ll be here

It is very hard to get over death, but if you can find someone to talk you through it it really helps. Thank you for helping me get through the difficult times that I have had to get through. There is a sad story behind this poem. This is a really good helpful for anyone who has ever known a loved one who has passed away. I'm sure that he will like this poem. I love it!

i was first attracted to this poem by the title and then, aftere reading the 1st line, i was already caught up in it b/c i've lost loved ones and know how hard it is to get over death. staying positive is definetely good advice but you need to face death before moving past it. you can't try to ignore it and act like everything's fine b/c then you'll never be able to get over it. (i'm sure you weren't saying people should do that. i just wanted to mention it.) maybe you could add something about that though.
i also liked the parts about being supported by friends and the ending was perfect for this poem.
