The face in the shadows

I lay upon the damp soil, shuddering,
Sinking into the icy surrender,
Deeper and deeper,
Colder and colder,
Weaker and weaker,

Through the mist I see a figure
The dark silhouette against the void
Like death she waits in shadow

I look upon the beauty only bleeding eyes can see,
And taste the salty air that only severed tongues can taste,
My angel gnashes through the mist,

    I enjoyed these lines;
    "Through the mist I see a figure
    The dark silhouette against the void
    Like death she waits in shadow"
    Thank you for entering and good luck
