Actions And Words

A popular saying
Actions speak louder than words
Is it true?
Maybe....

Truth is, they can be the same
Both actions and words
Can be used
To express true feeling
That only the mind can understand

However, words and actions
They can be used
To decribe other feeling
Used to hide true feelings
In our minds

Emotion is the key
Our emotions can tell us
The truth thats inside.

So Emotion is the loudest of all
With actions and words
Used to either show or hide
The emotion
That dwells deep inside...

Author notes

I plan on starting a couple of series of poems, and get back into writing while I feel I can. This poem is the start of a series called thoughts and truths. This poem, and the series is going to relate me thought on life itself, not including emotional poems in this from my feelings in general. Well, tell me what you think on this issue, and tell me what you think of the poem

    You are so right, there are times when actions can be faked and also words can be spoken or written and not be true, but when one lets their emotions show, that is truly what is honest and open.'s

    You are so right, words can convey feelings just like actions do, but it is the deep, true emotion of the individual who is talking or acting that actually tells the truth.

    I think that actions speak much louder than words. To disagree... in a way is to agree with people who believe that to call a woman a bitch, is basically raping her. You know? This was a though provoking piece and I enjoyed it... I just thought I would put my two cents in. I'm not ever sure if that's exactly what you were going for but that's what I interpreted.

    yeah, true.. but the thing is ...emotions are truly loudest but they are expressed with words or actions, withut those too,,, emotions would be mute. great job btw, great thoughts

      Thats true, The point I'm trying to make is that actions and words can show the emotion, but they can also be used to try and hide it, and if you lok deep, the emotions can show through . Thanks for commenting on my poem. I really appreciate it
