Somewhere in the heavens above,
sits the girl for whom I was intended,
God always offers us a perfect mate,
sent to bless us with absolute love,
but in our ever maddened
rush to quench the lust,
we often overlook
an angel standing by,
her warm smile,
and eyes of intrigue are missed
lulled away by a hungry look,
a wanton lick of the lips,
and soon enough we are wooed
away by a siren of sin,
hot enough to make our mates,
and so we join with a mortal being,
and give up our chance
for heaven on earth.
Banished to the planet of lost dreams,
better known as bewilderment,
she sits in a lake of tears,
surrounded by many others
in the same dilemma,
cursed to love only one,
seperated from her one and only,
she huddles forever alone
in a distant dark place,
no match can brighten,
holding the bouquet that was never
carried over the threshold of married.
