Glass Box

One step at a time this glass box has been built.
Pane by pane until now its
stunning
breathtaking
beauty takes up all of my attention.
An open box, to pour a thousand hearts into and still have room for more.
It bends light,
drinks it in,
and glows of its own accord.
It's like coming home.
The only glass I've ever known that shows no reflection of this world,
But makes one all
It's own.
Paving the way for light.

    Hello there,

This is a stunning write...no really, it's fabulous! I'm probably going to sound like a broken record pretty soon lol... Your piece reminds me of one I just wrote a couple days ago called "Jeweled Box", but yours is a lot more hopeful than mine! It also gives a vibe of unconditional love off as well... I admire your work already, even though this is the first I've read by you. Hope to see more...I'll be stopping by again soon!

    Many blessings,

    Raven Aurora

This is insanely good. I take it your introduction to AP was not your introduction to poetry. Nonetheless, I'm glad you've posted this, as it is quite possibly one of the best poems I've had the pleasure of reading.
"An open box, to pour a thousand hearts into and still have room for more.
    It bends light,
    drinks it in,
and glows of its own accord."
Particularly loved these lines, as they really encouraged the image forming in my head of the surreal glass box.. I too will be reading more of your work!

well Chaith was right, especially about that line. that was one of your best-placed lines ever. it was perfectly placed, Reighna; and i won't lie.

i love the way you put this, it's so fundamental and deeply-rooted, and still with a sense of wonder about it.

WOW!!! No, TRULY: wow, this is like one of the best poems I ever heard in my life, and if you don't mind, I'll probably put something to it from my author's page, but anyways...I LOVE the word play, i mean things like:
    "It's like coming home"
I love the end, about how it's its own reflection and not the world's (like we need to be) and the descriptions are just marvelous, GREAT job and I am totally checking out more of your stuff!
