How Can You Not Know

How can you not see?
See what darlin?
(said with that goofy smile I love to see,
as if you were the face of the moon)

Can you not see the fluttering of breath
as it catches in my throat
and drapes itself across my shoulders
for the public's entertainment.

Fox fur in an age where it is inappropriate
to display carnal interest,
physical, emotional ...
or otherwise?

(Slowly a finger reaches out
to caress the sound of a gasp
                                escaping
just because I know your touch).

How can you not see?
I see those sighs and pent-up breaths huddling together darlin'
(That silly smile again)

You can let them all out now hun
fox is making a comeback in my world.

I love it when a lady is in touch with the 'inner woman' enough to know what she wants and strong enough to know how to get it. Convention and passing fads never stopped me from doing anything...lol. Best wishes in the contest.

    Sincerely,
    Leo Long

Thank you so much. It was a dialogue between two. The inspiration was from the prompt in the contest basically asking whther that person could see how much they were loved. I am glad you loved it.

Brilliant work - so complex and clever. Like the running theme of 'breath' and lots of great lines: "as if you were the face of the moon" especially. Good luck in the contest.

Beautiful write. Sometimes a touch from a lover, especially a sensual one can make things seem better in life. Can help drive emotions. Good luck in the contest.
