I can't believe You thought my wretched soul
Was worth the cost of giving Death control
I can't believe you thought I was worth Your time
Especially when I didn't feel worth a dime
Ya took my hand and placed it into Yours
And with Your love You opened many doors
I can't believe You gave Yourself for me
Even though You knew I couldn't see
I can't believe the King of Kings is mine
And when I go Home the Son will forever shine
I can't believe the way You make me feel
Like all the bad in life ain't even real
When I cry out to You in fear
You're always there to dry my tears
So now I wait impatiently
For Your love to set me free
Casting all my cares on You
I kneel before the Throne anew
And one day I'll finally understand
Why You let them drive those nails through Your hands!

VERY little offends me, but making fun of my Jesus is not a good idea! Thanks for your thoughtfulness when you comment!

What a wonderful and loving write. Jesus allowed them to drive those nails to take on our sins so we would have a chance at eternal life. Yet, so many still will not even believe. They mock Him, laugh at Him and say HE isn't real. No one took He life, He gave His life. He came to the Earth for that reason. Now, we can accept Him as our Savior and let Him into our Hearts and Have life everlasting. Isn't that a wonderful thing to know? I live everyday thankful to God, in the name of Jesus that I have eternal life waiting for me. I pray for those who are lost, what a sad day it will be for those who will be left behind.
I so enjoyed your work. Thank you so much for sharing it with us.

I would never make fun of jesus, no one even should have a reason to do that. This is a beautiful poem. I am in awe of Jesus a lot most of the time thougjh I can't put it down on paper very well.
