Hope In Tomorrow

Let my anguish of night succumb,
to morning light and feelings numb.
My wanting more of love not found,
I search for hope in daybreak sound.

I feel the warmth of sun's embrace,
through window pane upon my face.
Still having faith I start to pray,
Lord get me through another day.

My wants and needs get in the way,
not knowing what to do or say.
I praise you Lord, you give me hope,
on days I can no longer cope.

You see my tears and how I weep,
as darkness comes and shadows creep.
Each day I wake and say a prayer,
feel your presence, know you're there.

Thank you Lord for all that is good,
when I strayed you understood.
I praise you now for all you give,
the hope and faith so I may live.

God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people can not see the whole scope of God's work from beginning to end. Ecclesiastes 3:11

I breathe the inky tears you pen,
touch cry that's like my own,
yet know that Love is grander plan,
    our heartaches to atone.

    Sometimes I wonder if My
    God ever hears my prayers
I sit alone every day and night
    looking for someone that cares

The tears I cry are unnoticed
    will anyone wipe them away
The anger and pain I have inside
    sits there, day after day

Then one night, I see the light
my Savior had came for me
He died upon a cross of wood
just to set you and me free

So now my tears of sorrow
    have been turned to joy
It puts into my heart a song
    which words can never employ

So now my faith is bigger than
    anything this world can hold
I stand tall, I speak out loud
His strength in me has made me bold

The light that I now see
    will bring me eternal life
And that is the hope I have
because He is my Savior, Jesus Christ

And yet again Sandy, this has been yet another wonderful poem. I truly enjoyed reading this as I do all your poems. They always put a smile upon my face and put joy into my heart. Seeing you still write for God is amazing. After these past three years, being in the family of God has really brought you much Joy. And I hope that I can always share in that joy with you as we worship our Lord and Savior Together, always and forever!! I will be reading more!! Stay tuned!! I love you and I miss you and I am always praying for you!!
    God Bless You!!
    Charles!!!

A nice prayer Sandy, every day is indeed a challenge, but we can certainly be glad that we were born into freedom in days of abundance. There are so many forces that want to limit our choices, nationalize (stifle) our health care, take away the means to protect ourselves, rewrite our history books and hide ourselves from the scourge of evil. It strikes me that this is a very prescient prayer for our time!
