I day-dream of you constantly
The indistinguishable face
I have grown to adore.
I feel glimpses of you
In those that create that fire within me.
I don't know your name,
-I'm sure it's glorious-
The date of your birth,
-I bet the stars alligned that day-
Or how emotions play across your features
-I'm confident it will be fascinating-
But I do know this:
You are my destiny.
I look for you without really seeing
Searching, waiting
Until that part of me speaks
"That's the one".
So if you spy me beside the lake,
Or you walk past on the crowded sidewalk
Anywhere, anytime
Don't hesitate to stop me
Tell me that you were meant for me for lifetimes
That you know my favorite color is turquoise
And I write love poems for mirages.
Flash me that look -you'll know the one-
And we can begin.
And once you have me
Never let me go.
