Falling through the atmosphere
For a change not broken and bleeding
Blood racing
Pulse going faster and faster
Feeling like it’s going to explode
And suddenly you’re falling too
Free falling into space
I close my eyes
And begin to think
My legs and arms float freely
Air sinking into my lungs
Breathing deeper
Falling next to you
I scream aloud
A scream of joy
We laugh out loud
Holding hands
Our bodies entwining
Tangled in the other’s
Head leaned back
Relaxed against each other
Floating through the dawn of time
Within a world of our own
Hopelessly lost within the other’s gaze
How can you seem so perfect to me
And still they say we’re not meant to be
Let’s just block them all out
And fall together
Hold me close before I awake
From this dream…
