It's hard to be original
in this giant world of cliches
i see primitive colonials
writing new strategies
yet war looks just the same
I see poverty stricken streets
and people who just don't care
they drive through with fancy leather seats
sayin' "kids you mustn't end up there"
I see people voicing their opinion
in the midst of corruption and ignored
apparently society is more interested
in yellow dancing whores on MTV
There is a silence which I follow
and though my words are seldom heard
I am understood by weathered pockets
invisible to this giant human herd
but when I drop a coin everyone seems to turn
and wonder if they will get a raise today or the next day
while I watch them continue their manipulative ways.
Humans amongst each other are groups of human clones
whom when spoken to with words of wisdom are in another zone
where god yells to them "Just have Faith!"
like they aren't the reason why nothing will ever change
in this crazy natural world of everyday cliches.
Please tell me what you think

This one brings alot to mind. It makes you really think about everything that goes on around you and how very much all of that effects your daily life. It's sad what so many bipass everyday without a second glance. They warn their children away from rough parts of town, but never consider why it became that way to begin with. If only we could all put a lil time and effort in...I but we'd see such a difference!!!! Beautiful poem...well said and it's an eye opener!!!

I like this poem a lot... and I was really thinking about it deeply while I was reading until I got to the line "yellow dancing whores on MTV" and then I just thought to myself... "yellow dancing whores?" I get the dancing whores part... but why yellow? lol I don't know... but I do really like it. if not lyrics, this would make an awesome poem.
