I knew, from the minute I met you
That I was under your spell.
I needed you; The sound of your voice
And the touch of your hand
Made everything in my life right again.
The small patch of sunshine, upon my darkness
A warmth upon my back, beneath the frost.
But I was so afraid, and I tried so hard
Not to fall for you, for loving meant pain.
But it is true that fear can turn to love
And I needed you more than I had anyone before.
I slowly surrendered, began to fall
For the only one that I couldn't have.
I lived for those Sunday nights, love
When the snow would fall, so soft upon our faces
And I could hold you, if only for a moment.
Then it would be the most beautiful one of all.
One look into your eyes, and I melted
My soul incinerated, in only a glance.
Each kiss upon my lips, like a chemical burn
You slowly wore down my every stronghold.
My last line of defense eroded before my eyes
And I succumbed to the sweetest of dreams.
You stole my heart, right from my chest.
You had me, though I refused to admit it
Even though there was no use denying it anymore
For I was only lying to myself, my heart.
But how could I continue living such a lie
When I only wanted to spend forever in your arms?
Then, one day, when I least expected it
You came to tell me that you needed me, loved me
Just like I had needed you, and relief washed over me.
I was no longer alone, for you were at my side.

And now, I want to laugh with you, cry with you.
Hold no hand, look into no eyes but yours
It's you I want to be my everything
My one and only, until the end of time.
Night falls again; I kiss your eyes and hold you close
For you gave me everything, when I had nothing at all.
So thank God for second chances, I guess
Because you are the reason I'm here today.

Oh I’m amazed, in awe! This piece holds so much need and love it radiates like rays from the sun! Such emotion not a lot of people can catcher but you did a wonderful job! This well amazingly written and nicely put together!

WOW....what an amazing write!! I think the reason i fell so in love with this write is because i just went through all that and am in that spot at the end of the write!
