Pisces

Missing image
Who can feel the pain of others?
Who is guided by empathy?
Who with a bleeding heart,
feels the pain of all humanity?

Whose head is always in the clouds
in their world of fantasy,
where they bring
their world to life artistically.

Witness to the difficult task
of straddling this divide,
between the human and the spiritual world
they see their soul inside.

They are pulled in two different directions
constant battle of right and wrong,
confusing cycle for Pisces
aways wanting to belong.

Their intuition becomes their strength
always guided by their soul,
what other people need from them
they always seem to know.

Chameleon like in nature
when ever in the need,
they will connect and adapt
to whatever they believe.

Waters of consciousness
is Pisces sea of thought,
flowing feelings and belief's
sometimes leaving them distraught.

Wow... As a Pisces and more than novice follower of astrology myself, I feel you have looked into my soul and perfectly captured so much of how I feel, how I am, and sometimes even what I wish I could escape... Not to mention, it's a beautiful and very well done poem!!! Love the flow, subtle rhyme play and the flow of questions in the first stanza/"intro"... Especially liked:
    "Chameleon like in nature
    when ever in the need,
    they will connect and adapt
    to whatever they believe."
    Thanks so much for sharing!!!
    Peace,
    Russell

Thank you for your poem! You convey our beauty so well. I love feeling understood and accepted by another. Every stanza brings to mind another part of myself. So, what do all those tears mean? Where do they come from? I'd like to know too. You were just what I needed. Thanks!

  • Good

I love to swin with fish its always fun and always real. life wakes up around me, it good to know who you are, Outstanding! Your beautiful meaningful words always brighten the day and teaches me This was very good my friend and the flow did captivate me to the end. I look forward to your next one Alexander QQ…

  • Amazing!

I am also a Pisces, I think you have managed to describe wonderfully the beauty of Pisces and also the internal struggle.
I love being a Pisces, but the thing that I find most challenging is that I very much have "my head in the clouds." It's extremely difficult to have to deal with the harsh reality of day to day life. Also the conflicting emotions. I want to do right by myself, but do the same for others. It results in my unhappiness because I put them before myself majority of the time.
This is also very informative to anyone who isn't too familiar with the sign.

    Beautifully written!!!

    WELL WRITTEN!

That was great! You said it all and being the 12th sign on the zodiac, we are the culmination of all the other signs - actually we are the grandparents of the zodiac too - lots of wisdom deep within. Keep searching for your purpose - just when we think we know it - something else comes up to direct us on another path........but we've never the original path no matter how many turns.

    Keep up the excellent work!

    Dear Pisces,

This was truly a wonderful insight of getting to know and understanding Pisces better. Astrology is the past little while has caught my interest and intrigue quite strongly. I can no longer deny it's relevancy in human nature, even in understanding my self better and interactions I have with different signs.

This was very educational, oh and so well penned
Thank you so much for sharing.

    Cancer

    Powerful!

As a Pisces myself I can attest to
most of this. You seem to understand
yourself pretty well. I believe it all
    begins with knowing one's self.
The path of a fish is lonely and filled
with melancholy days. caring for others
brings grief and despair. The price we
pay for such a precious gift.

Pleasant road-map to the mind of a Pices! Good rhyme and slant-rhyme. I'm not certain I understand the conflict in stanza 4, the "two different directions," unless it is sometimes "wrong" to "want...to belong?" Lovely 5th stanza, describing the strengths of intuition. I believe a consistent meter would add to the strength and flow of this write.

when you feel as if something is wrong yet no one else seem to think so it could cause a bit of a struggle between what you believe and what others believe because we all want to fit in. thank you very much for reading and commenting. GOD BLESS

Thank you, Pices rainbow, for the additional insight. Sounds like the conflict is between choosing to follow your own intuition or the 'group-think' (or don't-want-to-be-bothered stance) of the herd...

My wife is a pisces and I'm surprised at the many similarities you describe, so it looks like you really captured what a pisces is. I like the flow and rhyme in this write, good job!

i am a pisces and this really describes me!

one typo i would like to point out,
    "alway guided by their soul..."
    "alway" should be "always"

i really like the rhyme; it fits and it is not forced at all. i also like how you illustrate several aspects of a pisces personality without making a novel or overcrowding the poem.
    great write!

I like this poem a lot. It's deep, and I was able to relate to your second stanza . I wish I knew more about Pisces.

The rhyme works well. My only quirk is it seems like the questions in the beginning should end in question marks.

Who can feel the pain of others?
    Who is guided by empathy?
    Who, with a bleeding heart,
Feels the pain of all humanity?

Other than that minor detail, superb job.

    wow!

    I'm nearly passing out!
I cannot believe the words you have penned here! It is a true description of how I really am! being a pisces
and having an interest in astrology in general i always tried to corelate my life to what the sign says about me. While it isn't 100%, 99% of the time it reveals who i am, much like this poem! excellent work!

This was my Fathers star sign and it is true of his personality traits. He was true water until the end as he was in the navy almost all of his life. I like your poem here. I know nothing of all the technical aspects of poetry that some folk speak of but I know what I like to read - and I like this.
