The Garden of Sweet Memories

In the garden of sweet memories,
At the pool of love and joys,
There sits a child like angel,
Praying for unborn girls, and boys.

Dear God be with each child unborn,
Let someone please give them a voice.
Don’t let them be thrown out like trash,
Please let the child make their own choice.

Give each one a chance to live on earth,
Make a difference in the lives of others.
Maybe one of them could be the one,
To make a better world for their brothers.

For the ones that meet such an end,
Bring them to this garden here with me.
Let them live here in the land of memories,
Sadly of which they will never be.

An important message shared here, and it is so true that we never know what that child might have become in ths life. Every life should get that chance. A beautifully sad write. Great rhyme and flow. Thanks so much for entering. Blessings, Patty

The rhyme in this is very good, not forced at all. I'm not sure if "joys" should have the s. I know you did it to rhyme, but I think in this context the plural should be 'joy.'

The only part of the poem that seemed awkward was the last line 'Sadly of which they will never be.' That is just clumsy and a bad ending to the poem, in my opinion. I would rework it. I tend to think rhyme is weak when word order is so drastically changed to get the rhyme.

Other than that, the poem flows well, invokes a beautiful picture, and has a strong message.

This is a wonderful write...as for the unborn souls who were not given a chance; they are with God and will live one day.

How touching, and what love for children you have...It is God given, and so may it ever be....The mercy and love flows, compassion, and Gods' protective hand you pray over them....You are one special person with this burden for all children everywhere....A wish for success in this contest.
