How it feels
burning burning burning
in face throat chest arms
What I did
took one small aspirin
received nitro-glycerin
from hubby
He called heart doctor
who said CALL 911!!
We did
The fire department came
two ambulances came
A nurse named Vincent
administered medicine
to my clot-filled artery
The pain dissipated in
twenty minutes in the
ambulance parked in front
of my house
Then off to the
Emergency Room sirens
blaring
They check me out as my
family looks on
The tests show a blocked artery
The next day the heart doctor
painlessly inserts
two stents
I'm fixed
Grateful to all!!
Grateful to be alive!!

What I learned: If you feel a heart attack coming on, take four baby aspirin and call 911 immediately. Only then call your doctor.

I am so glad you are alright and my dad having died from a heart attack (his third) I can tell you it is a frightening thing.

Yes as I do know the sffects of heart surgery,heart attack is deadly if not acted upon immediately..I hadover 14 hours of surgery ,then was great doubt of my survival,how can one be so luck, very good poem you penned and yes you need the aspirin at once
