I am just a man,
with only one thing born in mind,
face to place in perfect space,
and find my embracing circle,
full,
extending talk to walk,
in chalk less balking,
to draw in line,
rhyme so fine,
she might know that love is possible.
Her scent is meant
to live in spending,
time to grow my flower open,
wider lip to sip in patience,
place where space stirs, interchanging
petal fall, now re-arranging
what there is to know in eyes.
And sighs,
this grace that brings
us both together,
here in skin to share our weather
heat exceeding sultry beat,
to cheat in language bending willow,
in silent stare of one in pillow.

Wonderfully honest and sensual are your words leaving the reader to sigh. Often women wish to peek within the mind of a man in hopes of honest thoughts and feelings though here no one need to wish for such a peek within. Your words express and release such honesty for all to become submerged within leaving them to wonder about why more often then not a man hides his honest thought(s) when it is of love/intimacy. Thank you for entering and good luck!

Congrats on the honorable mention trophy. This was a great piece. I really loved the picture.
And of course the poem itself was so enticing and sensual... great job.. good luck in the contest.

Wonderfully written once again. You always do this so well. I love the musicality of your work and what the rhythm of this has done to me. Well done and good luck in this contest. The competition is going to be stiff.

This is simply beautiful....from the picture (lovely) to every last word that slips from the pillow of dreams. A very honest look at how men think??? One of your best poems, my friend... loved this one - such a weave of sensuality and nostalgia here.
