I lay with my blanket pulled halfway up my chin
My mom just closed the door, I'm basically locked in
I hear the faintest screech
smell of banana very ripe
I wimper 'cause I know he's only out of sight
I break out in a sweat
My pajama's are too warm
Last night I was attacked
although my pj's were not torn
I hear the screeching grow
the closet door bangs into the wall
there stands a fiendish beast
though his upright stature is very small
I know that he is
the worst of all
It's the EVil Evil Monkey!
It's mouth is a big yellow grin
EVil, EVil Monkey
Why did my mom lock me in?
With this EVil EVil Monkey!!!???

Hey look EVIL EVIL MONKEY! FYI I love monkeys they aren't evil. But I must say I did love this right. I love the way it flowed. Thanks for entering into my contest and good luck.

This is pure terror, a child's terror with all the imagination and outrageous fantasy. Your evil monkey sounds like the creature in "The Watchers" that was such a brutal killer. Best wishes!

okay...so it was weird...lol But it was almost humorous and serious at the same time. I think it really was a fitting entry for the contest you placed it in. The way you wrote it reminds me of how one of my friends talks about things....so that's what makes it funny to me. Nice job and thanks for your comment on my piece!
