Skies, a place of winds
light and darkness blend
color unseen walls and ceilings
in inspiration and wonder,
a mirror to eyes finding
feelings among forgotten faces and lost promises;
waters, within and around us,
flowing with life
beating with hearts, warming breath;
gathered in tops of the world
falling to lowest places.
Earth, sown love and sprinkled tears
gifting womb of life, cup of waters
kissed by sun burned by fire, our pillow and rest.
Thought, where is the world owned
by endless imagination,
wider than skies poor cover of a world,
greater than Sun a single star;
more abundant than earth,
basic to life as water;
a gift of ourselves to enduring life
within and beyond the uncounted days;
to ears of our children
simple thought.
