Smeared expression
of wasted effort
touched black
on frozen cheeks.
That's me
watching
as they blur past
crowding my air
sipping cups of something
too warm for me to need.
They'll soon depart
the room will grow
leaving me in desperate need
to jump into the sky;
just to be with you...

Well said fellow poet. The transition and movement of thoughts within this masterpiece is really good.
There is beautiful irony and personification in this piece.
Lovely write.
Thanks for sharing and best of luck.
Keep the ink flowing.

You know, sometimes I really like my poetry, there are very few, but there are some poems that I think are really good, and I read other peoples' poems and think 'Yeah, I'm as good as that'. But you, you're just in an entirely different leageu, I admire and envy your seemingly endless talent
