Two gazes became one
What hath I’d built, undone
Twas born of innocence
Now spreading like pestilence
What was trust now beguiled
Emotions oh so riled
Lingering, lusts’ demands
Temptation, in my hands
Succumbing to the moment
It’s memories now torment…
Author notes
Prompt: 40 words: In The Heat of the Moment. The poem is about infidelity if anyone had trouble. It's difficult to convey a story in such a short amount of time and so little words. Thank you for reading
