When the stars stole you, I broke
into those thousand pieces that you cannot see
and you can't be here to hold me
because a whisper stole you
so I'm left, fighting for a way to breathe
Author notes
When your heart grows roots in another, there is no way to lose one and step away undamaged. The deeper the roots, the deeper the tears that their absence leaves.
My dear, I loved you, and if I could join you, I would. But for now it is my path to be the lonely one. So that is who I will be.
