Love isn't a Race

Tears make little rivers, pouring down her cheeks
bespeaking her misery, as they fall in little heaps
she sobs silently, so he'll never realize
just how bad her misery is, just how hard she cries

as bad as it is, as hard as it gets
he'll never know
just how much she loved him, that it wasn't just for show.
she can't tell anyone, so she'll put on her happy face
someday he will realize that love isn't a race.

Great poem, and I think everyone can relate to it. I love the first two lines the most. Good luck in the contest. :]

I can definetly relate to this, some guys just jump from relationship to relationship wanting nothing more than a kick out of it. It can really take its tole on a girl, you did a really good job getting this point across. =]
