The skeptic in me wants to know
How can you all fall
For them, again and again
And they, always falling
for you in return
Why do think that it's different?
"I love you" back then
well look where you are now
and now they're saying it to you
and you back to them
with the same sweet voices
echoing through your souls
as the it did to other
... and the other before that
and however many other countless
"others" that came before you
before here and now
Why do you assume that you're different?
After all, the same words are being said
the same smiles, kisses and hugs
Why can you run so eagerly down
a path that has already proven itself
to be the wrong one?

Wow jess this is easily one of the best pieces I've read in awhile, and defintly one of the best you've ever written.
Its beautiful it really is, I absoltly love it.
I love what it says because its so true, and so many of us refuse to say it or believe it.
