Wonderful,

Wonderful,

Is a word more, or less,
because we attach meaning;
or does it become something else,
other than what we want it to say?

It’s just a simple question
I think we've all asked,
one time or another.

Just being lost and then found,
without understanding the reasons,
at times, is sufficient; sometimes.

Life is full of moments,
some so greatly stupendous
defying all relevant descriptions,
some so dark that they do the same;
the good mingling with bad.

A simple dandelion shows
courage, fights, pushing
through black asphalt
simply
to dare
to exist, defying all odds.

The Horrible and Meaningless
often parallel Splendor and Luminescence,
as a locus for seeds which lie buried
then
erupt into Life.

We lose the awe
in awesome,
as much as the wonder,
when we ask a miracle
what it is.

Life is full enough
just to let it be,

Wonderful,

and not it ask why.

I enjoyed this. It was different and that is so refreshing..I think that words are unfortunately completely subjective as is life itself. There is a special sort of talent out there to recognize that and just quietly let it be, and I think you understand this concept unlike most. Congrats on the authors notes. Were you or are you an educator or in the field?

    very truthful thoughts

very honest... I do believe that we've all asked this question... you've stated this, phrased this question very well... I hope that your sixth decade is "wonderful" indeed, and I am attaching meaning to that word - full of a good kind of wonder...

Decade number six? Does that mean that a birthday wish is appropriate, if so...

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY FRIEND

Your poem poses pondering of the mind. I was always my mother's "why" child. LOL Even asking why someone named a table a table. What made them say table when they invented this piece of furnishing? I have come to know that we need not always know why. There are mysteries that should remain as such until we pass over and sit at the feet of Jesus to learn, and learn more...

Your poem makes me think of all the little miracles life has to offer and sigh. I am simply delighted to be as I approach year number fifty-three. There are many who have not existed to see half my age. I feel blessed.

Your poem has awakened a sense of rejuvenation in me and for that I humbly THANK YOU! Exquisite work here poet. That of which I have become accustom when coming to your pages of thought.

Much Love & Many Blessings ♥

    Er... wonderful

    "Life is full enough
    just to let it be,

    Wonderful,

    How true!

    "A simple dandelion shows
    courage, fights, pushing
    through black asphalt
    simply
    to dare
    to exist, defying all odds."

    That's me!

One of your corkers Richard; love it!

Your poetry contains both an obvious emotional intensity as well extremely concise, compact language. Your words never lose their vigor and becomes merely useful. Nor have I ever read anything from your pen where the language cools and becomes a corpse. Your work, for me, has always contained what I like to refer as "tiny explosions”. You have a way of hiding meaning rather than weakening that meaning with too much explanation. I love reading your thoughts Richard.

That's my favorite part. Every word of this piece is wonderful; I savored every moment reading it.
