Words Cannot...

    It's remarkable the difference that one year can make -
    people come and people go; writing lines in the blank pages of your past - mistakes.
    Another chapter devoted to someone who no longer cares -
    another sentence, an ending, to a fraction of your ghost who's always there.

    Once in your life you will find someone who sticks by you through thick and thin -
    someone whose will won't seem to bend -
    someone who will be your guiding light
    and help you through all your troubled nights.

    They will prove to you just how much they care
    by sending reminders that they really do care.
    They'll show you what true loyalty really can be
    and strive to end all of your misery.

    I never thought that this day would ever come -
    when I met someone who I depend on.
    I'm too strong and independent to admit
    that I need a girl like her - that's it.

    She has become my confidant and my shoulder in which I cry -
    she has been there for me for years on end and shows love I cannot deny.
    She's been there to help fix a heart that has been sore;
    this girl means everything to me; the world and more.

    Words cannot justify the bond in which we share -
    it's more unspoken that we know that we will both be there.
    She's the princess who catches all my falling tears -
    a connection like this comes once in a million years.

    The trust and respect that I have for her, makes her hold her head high -
    at her simple words my heart seems to happily sigh.
    Without her, I do not know where my soul would be -
    but for now, it's locked safe within her security.
