Stack the deck
Deal the cards
Prepare to lose
You don't know who you are playing against
The legendary Poker Alice
You try to cheat
You try to win
Only to lose to this smirking dame
She has countered all your moves
She called your bluff
She has fooled you
She smirks as she sips her wine
Poker Alice is one of a kind
Doesn't cheat
Doesn't lose
Knows how to use the cards life dealt her
You should have never gambled your life
You should hope you just don't die
When Poker Alice wins the pot
Will she laugh and let you go
Or have you die for being a fool?
Stack the deck
Deal the cards
You already lost
And you haven't even started
Author notes

Hmmmm...makes me think about women in general. I like the words. Very nice image in my mind. Good job.

I know that, but it seems like the vast majority are. Hope you're well. Later days.

I really like this.
Suprisingly, before I read this, I wrote a poem called "Jack Of Blades" inspired off of the earlier Poker Alice poems. I wrote it differently, making her seem different, but it seems we both had the same thought in this one and my own. Scary, cause I just wrote it a little while ago.
I like this a lot.
Well done.
