Muffled by a chorus of children's laughs
Engulfed in a sea of colors and bright smiles
He sobs and wallows in sorrow- poor thing
Alone in the world of happiness and joy
Of smiles and laughter- of merriment and glee
Stands he- the shadow- secluded and rejected
The little shadow watches in longing
As the colors of others mingle and play
Wasting the lovely day away
He notes that only- to his dismay
That when they take notice of him
They mock and jeer and joke
Pain- in both mind and body
Is all that he knows
The shadow cannot remember the reason
The reason for their abuse of him
When the shadow finally has enough
Enough of the sneers
Enough of the mockery
And enough of the pain
What will he become?
He will become nothing
The shadow will fade away
Swallowed by the bright colors
The blues, reds, and yellows
And the whites that oppose him so
For reasons that remain unknown
But he cares not
Unable to stand the pain any longer
He chooses his fate and allows his removal
The removal of balance
And when he is gone
Then the colors begin to blend
And chaos begins to unfold
Without the shadow to seperate the colors
They will turn against each other
For that was his purpose
He was the one who kept the balance
The one who kept them from seeing each other
Seeing them as something else
Hatred begins to brood
And the colors swirl together
And what do they create at the end?
A lonely little...
Shadow...
Author notes
I'm still working on this one. Its really just a bunch of jumbled thoughts put together. I'll fix it up later when I find the time and the inspiration.
