Empty sky {revision}

Has love been sent to an empty sky?
Where summer rains have come and gone
when fading echoes give last reply
neither well nor star to wish upon

Where summer rains have come and gone
'neath blank faced stare of pallid moon
neither well nor star to wish upon
in waning whispers gone too soon.

‘Neath blank faced stare of pallid moon
glad heart that sheds its emptiness,
in waning whispers gone too soon
‘til memory brings pillowed caress.

Glad heart that sheds its emptiness
having seen the face of love before
‘til memory brings pillowed caress
and wanderer finds the open door.

Having seen the face of love before
when fading echoes give last reply
and wanderer finds the open door;
Has love been sent to an empty sky?

    Oh this is so deeply touching .. who has not, in lfie, sent love out to wherever it went...and sometimes it has notreturned. Truly a beautiful touching poem.

    Oh I love this piece. It has a lot of emotions to it, and it almost describes a story that isn't in quite a story form but more of a thought... I like that a lot. I simply adore the first 2 stanzas, they were amazingly penned. I also loved the very last stanza, but I have to admit the stanzas between these weren't quite as strong as I would've wanted them to be. But they still add up well to this write that was overall very well worded and written.

    When I read it 3 times in a row, it's a good sign I like it. Wonderful work with this one!
