Romans Three Regret

Cursed with blood of dividends
I pray this madness ere to end
Greed close by, deny my friends
Thirty silvers changing hands
I'm forever stained~!

For all have sinned (We're caving in)
Death's at my door (We're falling short)
Can't find the life (Losing the fight)
I'm searching for (It's hiding from me...)

Screaming from behind the stone
F;esh becoming dry as bone
Routed from my kingly throne,
The traitors left me all alone
Why won't someone care~?

For all have sinned (We're caving in)
Death's at my door (We're falling short)
Can't find the life (Losing the fight)
I'm searching for (It's hiding from me...)

Save me from this blinding light
Showing all that I should be
I was happy in the darkness,
I was happy with my flaws
Perfection reared its ugly head
And for thirty silver coins,
I would kiss Perfection dead

For all have sinned (We're caving in)
Death's at my door (We're falling short)
Can't find the life (Losing the fight)
I'm searching for...

It's hiding from me...

Author notes

This is actually a reference from the Good Book. (a.k.a the Bible.) I put a spin on the story of Judas betraying Jesus and threw in a little bit of Romans 3:23 ("For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God") So, that's apparent now. It's a darker style then I usually write, but I'm happy with how this came out. I recommend looking at the wqhole story to understand some of what I was talking about in these lyrics. Thanks, and please review!

Egh! No one seems to be into the same kinds of reading as I am...*cries* Ah-well. I still liked writing this, and I hope the muse I used doesn't lessen your opinions of the piece. To Katie-love: I liked stanza 5 too. Probably one of the best stanzas in there. And why am I Mango-rice? To Erica: I never said you had to go read it...*Cries again* WHY DOES NO ONE LIKE THE BIBLE?!
Egh...never mind. Toodles, you two, and thanks for the reviews!

Sorry hun, but I tried to read the Bible [didn't go over well with me] but all in all this was a very good poem. I liked it, especially 'stanza five'. {{I remember reading this on friday}} Good work, mi arroz con mango!
