Fear

Do fears ever cease?
Depart without restarting,
or shift to another
fear to be apprehended.
Heart starts beating fast,
stomach churns with butterflies,
all because of a fear.
Things happened that left a scar;
A clouded picture
thrust forward to the present
from a murky past.
If you face your fear
will it cease, or cause a space?
For more fears to take its place.
