time to wake
To view the earth in its true beauty
the beauty of sleepy darkness.
A heart so full of passion
it cannot speak it out,
but through the notes of the piano
we see your soul,
your dreams,
your longing.
I see your eyes
and know they are lonely.
They are lonely, but they are content.
There is no peace for you
and your restless beauty.
Oh how I long to know you
beyond your words,
beyond your music, that gift you give us.
You do not know me
You do not know that I know you,
but I do.
I see myself in you and feel your passion,
that passion that drives you
to devotion.
If only you could see
the beauty of your spirit.
That beast you hide behind
it is your mask.
And that mask keeps you protected
from the world...
but it also keeps you alone.
I wish you could become free.
Free to hunt your dreams
down with the wolves.
Free to understand your power
and to become one with another.
You may never find peace, as I know
I too may never find mine.
But that gives us something
to long for,
to wish for
to live for.
I feel your shadow over me
and in it
I see the wolves.
