Across the World

Your words whisper into my ear
Thick with accent
I can almost feel your breath
It sets fire to my skin

I close my eyes and listen to you talk
My mind creates our world again
Your fingers brushing the bridge of my nose
Sliding along my arm
Before
Wrapping around me
Sliding through me

Your voice ripples through me
Mercy
My toes curl again and again
My hands are yours

My body sings for you
Our world disappears
My hands are not enough

Author notes

I am falling in love with an Australian man. He is perfect for me in every way, just on the other side of the world. Fate likes tormenting me.

Interesting piece, I felt a bit lost in it for a moment, it essentially has some sensuality to it, but there is point where the beginning with the boom of the poem doesn’t click, I felt intrigued by it….. and you have great thing here to work with ….. ... by the way love is a beautiful kick in the butt thing... enjoy it! nothing like love to inspire

    Thanks for your entry.
