We promised to always be best friends
To never break apart
To always be there when we needed a shoulder to cry on
And someone to make us smile
Someone to confide into
Our deepest darkest secrets
And all those in between!
We promised to never break our 103 pacts of friendship
To never let go of our innocence
Because the world outside our tree house window wasn’t what we expected
But we both grew up…
Move on…
Even though we promised to never let go!
To always be “one”
To always confide, laugh and cry together!
…We lost it all
…We moved away
We lost our child hood innocence
We broke all 103 pacts
We said “Goodbye”
And did our secret handshake one last time
The night our tree house was burned down
