I feel you always by my side
a guiding light to show the way,
when I stumble gentle hands reach out
so that my soul won't go astray.
Each day becomes a battle ground
as evil talons claw with deceit
blinding me from the genuine path
to sink in clay with crumbling feet.
Spirit searching for integrity
yet sometimes darkness blinds true trail
as you stand beside and lead the way
in surety I know I'll not fail.
Your wings of defence surround me always
insulating me from harm
I can reject sinister claws
and have no need to feel alarm.
I pray that you may keep me whole
you guard so that I'll not betray
the one who breathed life in to me
for Heaven's home I daily pray

Oh, my... this one just brings tears to my eyes. A well written piece can just hit the core of the heart. Sometimes when life is beating you down, the best answer is some well written spiritual poetry because it is like linking hands with another and praying. (that is the best way I can explain it even if it sounds silly)
Your words really hit home with me and I can't thank you enough for sending me this list dear, am on my way to the next. ( forgive me if I am not leaving a proper review but is no critique needed here and I am being selfish at the moment and
reading to keep my head above water at the moment... I do hope you understand)
