For Grandma

Lay down your withered hand
Upon my bloodied forehead
We meet again at the gates of eternity
But I do not belong

I look within you, not directly to you
For your eyes tell far greater a tale than Homer's Iliad

I feel I have disappointed you
With my thoughts, with my actions, with my words

But you never disappointed me
And you never will

Please tell me what you think
