The Struggle

Missing image
Chaos litters streets of mayhem
as confusion threatens to asphixiate.
Washed away in sea of shambles
unable to run as limbs become polarized to this spot.
Powerless to reach that resting place
as lights of mental turbulence blind true course.

Standing motionless against the tide
in fearful anticipation of the drowning,
the flood of worldly panic overcomes
as essence drifts away in search of high tide.

    HOODWINKED! *cool*

YOU BEEN HOODWINKED! Wow! This was deeply rich and moving. So intense, yet....I could swear that the feeling is so real, that I, too have been there. Great job, my friend. Love, D.

Works nicely to its climax in the last line, which is well worded and evocative...and visually intriguing. Well done.
